| Takemoto Yuuta is architecture student of an Art school in Tokyo. He lives with same run down apartment with his friends, Mayama and Morita. He is 19 years old at the start of the series. He is the most tone down character. He is very shy and somewhat lack of confidence that is why during the course of the story he had a difficulty landing a job. The most notable thing about him his little crush on Hagu, that unknown to him is very obvious among his peers. But due to his constant observation with Hagu he realized that she had fallen for Morita which makes his feelings one sided. But when Morita left and went to America he ask Hagu if he’d like him to stay, it turned out she want him to extend his horizon related to his craft. Long after, he developed a stomach ulcer that he needed to stay for another year. While doing his thesis, he wonder his motivation. Out of nowhere while riding his bicycle he went to a soul searching (according to Mr. Hanamoto) and even reach northernmost point in Japan. His travel made him realized many things, one of the most remembered line for me is that – “is not that I don’t have a map, it is because I don’t have a destination.” |
